Matt Brown Promoted to President of ARC Healthcare

Since opening the doors to its first residential treatment center in 2010, Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) has been committed to delivering high-quality, individualized treatment to people with substance use disorders and helping them find long-term recovery.

With more of the population struggling with serious mental illness and other behavioral health conditions in addition to SUD, ARC is evolving to provide community members with the comprehensive healthcare services they need to be healthy. ARC Healthcare will focus on delivering services in addition to SUD treatment in Kentucky and beyond. Matt Brown will serve as President of ARC Healthcare and lead the day-to-day management of the organization.

Tim Robinson will continue to serve as CEO. Working alongside them will be Pat Fogarty, Chief Operating Officer of ARC Healthcare; Lawrence Vinson, Chief Quality Officer of ARC Healthcare, who will also remain Chief of Staff; and Jessica Burke, ARC Healthcare’s Chief Legal Officer.

This team will work closely with John Wilson, Market President of Addiction & Recovery Services Division, and Tim Hatfield, Market President of Hospital Services Division.

“I am amazed each day by the incredible work happening throughout our organization and how we are evolving to better meet the needs of our current and future clients,” said Brown. “ARC brought me out of crisis, providing me with hope and purpose. I am excited to lead this incredible organization and its various teams through this next phase of treating, supporting and transforming lives.”

“Over the last nine years, Matt has become one of my most trusted advisors,” said CEO and founder Tim Robinson. “When we started to think about the next chapter for ARC and who would be best to lead the organization’s day-to-day management, there’s no question that Matt Brown is the best person for the job.”

Brown, a “Crisis to Career” success story, has served in various roles at ARC since finding recovery at its Belle Grove Springs facility in May 2014. Brown started as an intern, eventually becoming Chief of Staff and most recently Chief Administration Officer.

Prior to entering recovery, Matt had a 12-year career in the field of physical therapy. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky in Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from UK.

As part of ARC’s efforts to expand further into behavioral/mental health, they are opening their first inpatient psychiatric hospital in Greenup County later this year. Bellefonte Hospital and Recovery Center will not only provide SUD treatment services, but will also deliver higher-level psychiatric care for those with more complex behavioral health needs.

The organization is also expected to open its first out-of-state facilities in Virginia and Ohio within the next year.
