Second Chance Auto

Second Chance Auto was started as a place where people recovering from addiction could also train to be mechanics.

The shop grew from an idea that combining job training with treatment would benefit people working to overcome addiction by preparing them for a life after finding recovery.

The concept is to help people go from crisis to career, showing them the potential to again be productive members of society.

The idea has worked.

Of the people who have received job training while taking part in treatment at ARC since October 2016, more than 80 percent remain employed and in active recovery.

While completing an internship at Second Chance Auto in the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) training program, interns will be prepared to become ASE Certified Mechanics. Developed by ASE certified professionals, this program gives interns the ability to work hands-on to develop the skills needed for their future.
