Dozens of ARC clients earn GEDs

To help people earn their high school equivalency diploma and improve their lives, Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) offers GED® courses across its network of more than 30 addiction treatment centers.

In 2022, 48 people completed the GED® program and passed the test at an ARC facility. Another 111 are on track to do the same in the near future. ARC is a thought leader in addiction treatment, finding ways to maximize client potential with a nationally renowned Crisis to Career model. The company encourages personal and professional growth, offering and aiding in the search for second-chance employment opportunities for its graduates.

“Long-term solutions begin with short-term goals, and this program is a major step to success,” said John Wilson, ARC’s Kentucky Market President. “The success of those in recovery is predicated on education and vocational opportunities.”

Addiction Recovery Care partners with Kentucky adult education.. Faculty and staff help ARC clients navigate instruction and practice tests in preparation for the ultimate goal – passing the GED® test, putting them on the path to post-secondary education.

“The GED program helps us support the client along their journey and enjoy watching them succeed in their education and recovery,” added Brianna Muncy, Associate VP of Operations.

Any client who still needs to complete a high school equivalency education is eligible for the program. ARC’s case managers identify those who could benefit from the courses and work with clients who want to enroll.
