Celebrating ARC’s Louisville Outpatient successes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Since opening the doors to its outpatient treatment center in Louisville just over a year ago, Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) has had the opportunity to serve many community members struggling with substance use.

“We pride ourselves in helping our clients build the connections and structure they need to be successful in recovery outside of a residential facility,” said Stephanie Hutchinson with Addiction Recovery Care. “We believe that everyone needs a safe space in order to be able to work through the highs and lows of long-term recovery.”

ARC’s Louisville outpatient center offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP), which meets 3 to 5 days a week, as well as individualized therapy on an as needed basis.

Research shows that intensive outpatient programs are an important part of the care continuum and can be a highly effective treatment option for individuals with substance use disorder.

“There is no one-size-fits all approach to treatment, and as a provider, we’re committed to meeting people where they’re at and offering programs that meet the wide-ranging needs of different individuals,” said Pat Fogarty, Chief Operating Officer for ARC.

Middlebrooks pointed to two clients in particular who are preparing to start the peer support certification process so they can help others who are just beginning the recovery process.

“We love to see clients who want to give back to the recovery community that has helped them build their lives back,” added Hutchinson.

ARC is continuing its growth in Jefferson County and recently announced plans to bring a residential treatment center to the former Spencerian College campus on Dixie Highway.
