Shriners donate to ARC’s Eagle Creek facility

When the hearts of servants come together, it is a beautiful thing. Recently, the Oldham County Shrine Club of Kosair Shriners made a surprise donation to clients at ARC’s Eagle Creek facility in Owen County. The donation allowed moms in recovery to shop for their kids this Christmas

The Shriners organization is best known for helping families in need, especially during this time of the year. The group’s primary mission is to help kids less fortunate around the holidays.

“It is incredible to see the support shown in the communities we serve,” said Eagle Creek Campus Administrator Chris Whitenack. “Our mission, like the Shriners, is to value every life. This donation made this Christmas a little brighter for those kids, and gave their mothers in recovery hope to keep working.”

Eagle Creek is a residential treatment center for women suffering from addiction located in Owenton, Kentucky. The treatment program is holistic with CARF-accredited clinical programs, medical services directed by an addictionologist, a spiritual-centered approach that includes the 12 steps and chaplaincy care, and a broadening scope of vocational training opportunities for clients.
